Ui-Cha! Phở and Cà-Phê

First Time Pho!

So, for having worked with Ui-Cha! for over a month now, it was only last weekend that I finally had my first bowl of pho.

Whether it was bad timing or that I was just never hungry when the food was presented, I never got around to trying it until now. However, after an exhausting hike up to the M, my boyfriend and I decided we wanted something healthy, something filling, and something new for lunch. My boyfriend tried the beef pho, whereas I tried the chicken pho. Both were delicious! The broth had just the right amount of salty flavor and I find I prefer the rice noodles over regular egg noodles. I loved the taste of fresh cilantro and chopped scallions, and the chicken slices were nice and tender. Throw it all together and I got one amazing bowl of pho! We completed the full Uicha! experience by topping our meal off with pork rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee. The pork rolls are exceptional when dipped in hoisin sauce, and though we had a little trouble getting our straws in through all that ice, the coffee was a great pick-me-up.

The take-away here is that it was a wonderful meal with a lot of variety and I definitely intend to eat at Ui-Cha! more often. No more month long waits for me!
