Ui-Cha! Pho will start serving our own chicken wings tossed in one of our 3 special sauces this Spring 2014 semester.
Ui-Cha! wings are roasted to a crisp in our combi oven for a healthy and tasty result, without any added oil, fat or grease. The wings are cooked everyday on-site and are served in one of our sauces:
- Viet-style house sauce. This sauce is traditionally served at many Vietnamese restaurants, with flavors unique to Viet foods. It’s flavor profile is a balance of saltiness, sweetness, and tartness. If you like salt, sugar plus a good amount of acidity then you’ll like our Viet-style house sauce.
- Orange sauce. This sauce is based on our very popular sauce used in our Orange Chicken dish. It has its own tanginess, but the profile leans more toward sweet orange flavors. Very nice taste.
- Sweet and sour sauce. This sauce is based on our sauce in the Sweet and Sour Chicken dish. It is definitely on the sweet and sour side, which means with some extra Sriracha sauce added, it will be nice and hot, exactly what wings should be!
We’ll make available 2 order sizes. Regular order will include 8 wings, while those desiring smaller portion can get the 4-wing option. Each order is garnished with our pickled carrots and daikon for a very unique taste, plus the traditional celery stalks.
We make our wings just hot enough for general consumption. If you prefer a spicier taste, you can add more Sriracha sauce or even chili pepper. Please come in and give them a try.
